Description:
Reminiscence of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. Images of a fugitive; the camera pursues running legs. Everything is garishly altered in colour, shooting, running footsteps and echoing cries can be heard. Short, authentic inserts illustrate the menacing situation – a rifle, a tank, rotating radar antenna. After a seemingly endless flight, a wall appears. The fugitive climbs over it, but the goal and success of his flight remain uncertain. (Dieter Daniels)
