The images recorded by the security cameras placed in the halls of the Műcsarnok/Kunsthalle Budapest may be viewed on the monitor in the cubicle of the security guard at the back entrance of the building. The recorded material is not for public viewing; nevertheless, the placement of the monitor makes it possible for us “to be everywhere at once”, as we can see all the halls on the divided screen-image simultaneously. Following the placement of the cameras, we made photos of the locations. We placed these black and white enlargements on the wall of one of the halls, according to the 4x4 arrangement of the security monitor. With the aid of a video camera, we sent these pictures – in the form of a single image – to the monitor placed in the lobby of the Kunsthalle. (A.M.,Ch.R.)
