Biography:
Born in Siklós. Studies at the Painting Faculty of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts between 1983-87, followed by the Postgraduate Program at the Mural Department between 1987-90. Recipient of the Derkovits Scholarship between 1991 and 1993, and the József Pécsi Scholarship between 1996 and 1998. Kiss works with special photographic procedures, as well as every type of electromagnetic radiation which can be rendered visible in some way. He has a penchant for photographing microstructures. Since 1986, Kiss has taken part in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. Solo shows include: Nádasdy Castle, Sárvár, Hungary (with Tamás Gaál, 1988); Knoll Galerie, Vienna (with János Sugár and András Bernát, 1989); Vizivárosi Gallery, Budapest, and Hungarian House, Bucharest, Romania (1996); and Studio Gallery of the Studio of Young Artists Association, Budapest (1997).
