Professor of Media and Fine Art Studies at the Kunsthochschule für Medien in Cologne. For the year 2011, he is a scholar of the Internationales Kolleg für Kulturtechnikforschung und Medienphilosophie in Weimar. Between 2005 and 2008, he was a guest student at the Faculty for European Media Studies of Universität Potsdam. From 1996 to 2000, he was a curator of the Millennium Exhibition in Berlin. His more notable publications include: 'Blinde Seher. Wahrnehmung von Wahrnehmung in der Kunst des 17. Jahrhunderts.
