Born in Bonyhád. At present he is a lecturer at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts (1994- ) and at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (2000- ). He pursued studies at Kossuth Lajos University in Debrecen and at Eötvös Lóránd University in Budapest (1976/81) in History and Aesthetics. He was editor of several magazines and television programs, a. o. the Catholic literary monthly Vigilia (1986/91), senior editor of the literary review Átváltozások (Transformations, 1998), editor of Conversations at the Millenium series of the Hungarian Television (1991/2000) and the editor of the philosophical book series, Folyam (Palatinus Publisher, 2002). He was a senior editor of the art review Balkon (1995/98). His selected publications: ’Későújkori kilátások’ (Holnap Kiadó, 1992), ’A növekvő napok népe’ (Pesti Szalon Kiadó, 1996), ’Merőleges elmozdulások. Utak a modern művészetben’ (Palatinus Kiadó, 2004).
