Born in Halle, formerly in DDR. Lives and works in München since 2013. He studied philosophy in Braunschweig (1986/87) and recieved his B.F.A. degree from the College of Fine Arts in Braunschwieg as well (1987/1992), where he completed the Master's programme with Prof. G. Büttenbender (1992/93). Since 1992 he is board-member of the Stúdió - Young Artists Association in Budapest. Amongst his organizational, curator work, his involvement in the establishment of the Trafó Gallery is an important memento (1998/99), as the Videospace project's establishment (1999) as well, followed by the foundation and management of the Videospace Gallery (2007-2012 ). Director of the European House of Art Upper Bavaria - Schafhof in Freising (2012-). In his site-specific installations videoworks gain an accentuated role, in which the use of artistic motion picture carries enigmatic, essential contents ('Utopia - Past of the Future', 2006; '360°', 2005). His latest exhibition: Translation – Suggestion, Kunsthaus and Kunstverein Viernheim (with Thomas Lüer), Viernheim (2015). (2011)
