Worked and lived in Lodz. He graduated from the Department of Film Photography of the National Film Academy in Lodz (1970). He was a professional freelance photographer (1970/88) and he received his second degree in film directing also in Lodz (1975). He was the first to make an art videotape in Poland in 1973. He spent one year (1980/81) in West Berlin as guest of DAAD - Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst. He started to teach the "extended" photography at the Art Academy in Poznań (1981) also where he became an assistant professor (1985) and then was assigned as associate professor (1991/96). He set up an independent radio station, the Radio Ruine Der Künste Berlin, UKW 97.2 MHz (1988) and he directed commercials for radio and TV as well (1992/2001). (2011)
