Biography:
She is a media and cultural practitioner using electronic technology and a lecturer in photography and digital media production at the University of East London. She graduated in Visual Communication at University of Wolverhampton (1981/84) and Photographic Studies at University of Derby (1988/89). She received her PhD degree from Goldsmiths College, Department of Art & Centre for Cultural Studies at University of London (2004/8). Her creative practice aims to use electronic media to explore visual representations and culture through the contemporary re-use of photographic archives within network environments. She is also concerned with the re-mapping of colonial history, stories and locations. She has many lecturing positions, presentations, publications and research works.
