Biography:
She is an artist, media philosopher and interaction designer with particular interest in emerging technologies and their impact on creative practices. She is currently based in Culture Lab, Newcastle University. She recently finished her interdisciplinary PhD at the University of Wales, UK and she is Research Advisor in the Doctoral School at the Hungarian University of Fine Art. Her main research interest concerns how philosophy of consciousness and cognitive sciences provide a new potential for applications in technology-based art and design. Her most recent art project entitled ’The Mind Cupola, Affective Environment’ (2008). „This interactive art work explores the potentiality of a cognitive-driven interaction (or passive interaction) process which is based upon a complex system of instant affection technologies (mechanical and audio-visual) and affective computing (face analysis based on temperature and gesture).” (Brigitta Zics) (2011)
