Biography:
Born in Budapest. He has participated widely in exhibitions and collaborative projects, in the form of visual artworks, actions/performances, videos and computer-based works at home and abroad. He has received many grants and awards, including: Derkovits Fellowship (1990-93), Eötvös Scholarship (1994-95), Künstlerhaus Bethanien fellowship (1999) and Pécsi József Fellowship (2000). He has taken part in numerous group shows, including: 'Real Small' (Fészek Galéria, Budapest / Randolph Street Gallery, Chicago / Delta Axis Art Center, Memphis / Art in General, New York, 1993), Orient/ation: 4th International Istanbul Biennial (Turkey, 1995), 'The Butterfly Effect' (Műcsarnok/Kunsthalle, Budapest, 1996), 'Rondó' (Ludwig Museum, Budapest, 1999), 'Smoke Feast' (Vajda Lajos Stúdió, Szentendre (HU), 2009). He has also curated such exhibitions as: 'The Least' (with Barnabás Bencsik and Eszter Babarczy, Ernst Museum, Budapest, 1996), 'Young and Serious - Recycled Image' (with Franciska Zólyom, Ernst Museum, Budapest, 1999). He has been editor of 'exindex': on-line contemporary art magazine (www.exindex.hu). (2011)
