Description:
Two friends are sentenced to death, although the emperor is sure that they are innocent. As he wishes to save them, but cannot prove their innocence, he orders that a long rope be stretched across a river; he who manages to cross the river will be set free. The first succeeds, when the second man's turn comes, he asks: Tell me, how did you manage this dangerous crossing? His friend replies: As soon as I felt that I was leaning to one side, I quickly leant to the other side. The essence is not to forget even for a moment, that we walk on a tightrope and it is a matter of life.
The real path is a rope-course, which is not stretched high above, but rather just above the ground. As we can see, it was not designated for walking on, rather for stumbling on.
