The work addresses a number of major artistic and technical questions which are characteristic of the artist's oeuvre and crop up repeatedly in subsequent works. Among these issues is the principle of color animation, i.e., the use of changes in color to create an impression of movement. Around 1987, he used an ATARI 520 ST to make his first-ever animations, and he explored the possibility offered by the ATARI computer of storing and endlessly repeating a one to four seconds long animated sequence.
