Description:
A work of black humor about the tapeworm, more specifically the hooked-headed tapeworm. Little more than mild abdominal pains and fragments of dead worms expelled with bowel movements attest to the presence of the 2 to 6 meter long parasite that lives in the small intestines of humans. The appearance of a segment of a living worm at the anus is not possible, but this alluring vision inspired the artist to illustrate an old tale in which the entire family pulls at a carrot which doesn't budge. What can one possibly do with a tapeworm pulled out of one's intestines? Can a domesticated variant be profitable to its owner? (Evelin Páll)
