The connection of Rilke's "poetics" to fine art is not merely another example of different branches of art reflecting upon one another (he expressly rejected such exercises); instead, it is a fundamental community, the way he internalized and “followed” artistic questions, or transposed "every step" of the artists of the Worpswede colony - Rodin, Cézanne, and in the later years, Greco and Klee - until even the artists’ technical solutions were the same as his own.I would like to demonstrate this subject in my lecture by analyzing the relationship of Rilke and Klee.
