Description:
In the summer of 2000, I brought home my sculpture-composition entitled Torso - Invalid Sculpture, which was exhibited at the 1987 Seoul Olympic Games, and which was purchased by the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Fundation, because it was my intention to take part in the Media Model exhibition organised in the Műcsarnok / Kunsthalle Budapest with this work of mine, together with my sculpture subsequently produced on its basis, entitled Erika 2000. (...) Erika 2000, produced on the basis of Torso, was made during this time. It occupied thus the place of Torso in the Műcsarnok/Kunsthalle, so that the viewers could become acquainted with the new, fresher version of the previous composition whose earlier phase of destiny was already familiar. Following the conclusion of the exhibition, this composition was transferred to its owner, Erika K., the model for Torso, who received this artwork for her birthday as a surprise from her husband.
