Description:
Interpretation (To the Memory of M.E.). Interpretation of the work ‘1 Apple + A Pear’ by Miklós Erdély assisted by means of a spatial situation. A monitor lies on the ground with its screen facing upwards, centrally placed among 100 kilograms of apples arranged in the form of a pyramid. A green pear is a hanging from the ceiling above the monitor (like an electric bulb), it is at the same height as the video-camera objective, which is directed at the pear. The image of the pear as filmed by the camera is visible on the monitor within the pile of apples. (M.P.)
