She is a curator and art historian. She is currently director of the Kunstmuseum in Siegen (2004- ). Between 1993 and 2004 she directed the Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst in Bremen, she curated several solo-exhibition to a.o. Alfredo Jaar, Beat Streuli, Dieter Kiessling, Öyvind Fahlström, Peter Doig, Vera Frenkel, Peter Kogler, Terry Fox, Tracey Emin, Jimmie Durham, Ayse Erkmen, Peter Friedl, John Bock. In 1998 she co-curated 'Do all oceans have walls' with Horst Greise, commissioned temporary interventions into the public space in the city. In 2004 the two launched a second public art project for Bremen, entitled 'Niemand ist eine Insel : No Man is an Island'. (2016)
