Biography:
He is currently Professor of Art History at Accademia di Belle Arti, Firenze. He has written on Paolo Uccello, Leon Battista Alberti and Evangelista Torricelli, and is currently working with Pisanello. His field of investigation moves from the close observation of the material outline left on the support of a work of art, to construct the perspective in order to reconstruct the actual methods used, and subsequently to discover their cultural (philosophic and geometric) context. His ultimate aim is the criticism of the leading idea of Fifteenth Century perspective. (2011)
